Week of February 12th–February 16th


Our theme for this week was Valentine’s Day.




Scholastic orders are due Wednesday, February 28th.


The 100th Day of Pre-K is Wednesday, February 28th. Students are invited to dress up as if they were 100 years old.


Please send in the 100th Day project by Wednesday, February 28th.


Special Activities


We received ashes. J


We did Valentine’s Day centers with our friends in Mrs. Ciampa’s class and Mrs. O’Sullivan’s class.

Our letter this week was the letter V.


We used a do-a-dot marker to fill in the dots for the letter V and identified that vegetables start with the letter V.


We formed uppercase and lowercase V using play-doh on an alphabet mat.


We traced both uppercase and lowercase V with correct letter formation on a worksheet.




Our number this week was the number 15.


We counted the cherries on Valentine’s Day cupcake play-doh mats and made the correct corresponding number of cherries using play-doh.


Fine Motor/Arts


We made Mardi Gras masks and had a Mardi Gras parade.


We used a do-a-dot marker to stamp around a template of a heart.


We made a handprint for the letter V for our alphabet book.


We colored a coloring page for Presidents’ Day and for the Chinese New Year.




We learned about Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, and Lent. We discussed that we are getting ready for Easter.


We learned about St. Valentine and discussed why we celebrate Valentine’s Day.
