 Week of December 11th –December 15th

 

REMINDERS 

Please send in absent notes when your child returns to school.

We will be making gingerbread houses on Wednesday, December 20th, at 9:30 am. Parents are welcome to join us. We still need several things. Please send in any of the following supplies: graham crackers, vanilla icing, gum drops, mini M&M's, candy canes

*Please check out the class page for useful academic resources to use with your child at home. The resources are listed under Useful Links. On the Story Bots website, your child can be featured in Starring You videos and books. 

*Reindeercam.com is a website where your child can watch a live feed of Santa’s reindeer. Santa feeds the reindeer every day at 11 am, 6 pm, and 9 pm.

Santa’s List

Our letter of the week was the letter J:

-We filled in the dots of the letter J and jelly beans using a do-a-dot marker on a worksheet.

-We traced both uppercase and lowercase J with correct letter formation on a worksheet.

-We formed both uppercase and lowercase J using play-doh.

  

Mathematics

Our number of the week was the number 10. 

We have been working on one-to-one correspondence.

 
Fine Motor/Arts

We drew a picture of what we would like for Christmas.

We made angels using coffee filters and glitter.

 We are working on our Christmas gifts for the parents. 

Religion

We colored a picture of Mary and baby Jesus with Mrs. O’Leary’s class. 

We have been learning about Advent. We discussed that we are in the second week of Advent. The candle for this week is the candle of peace. It is a purple candle.
