Reminders:
*Please sign the signature sheet that stays in your child’s “Take Home” folder showing me that you have seen their tests.*Dance and Chess is on Tuesdays, Steam is on Wednesdays, and Lego is on Thursdays.The small math book called "Additional Practice Workbook" is the math homework book. It comes home to be completed and returned to school the next day, along with the homework book, agenda book, and "Take Home Folder". The orange "Agenda" notebook is where the children write down what homework they have for the day, while the blue "Homework" notebook is where they will complete their spelling homework or other assigned homework.Please sign H.W. and readings logs every nightThe children will bring home the week's homework sheet every Monday to show you important updates/reminders, test dates, homework assignments, and the spelling, high-frequency, & vocabulary words. Please take out everything in your child's folder except the H.W. sheet, reading log, homework helpers, and signature sheet.If you have any questions, please let me know! -

* Practice your prayers, the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Guardian Angel before bed. Reading H.W. is every day for 20 minutes. Please log it in the reading log. Study your spelling, vocabulary and high-frequency words.
Monday 12/8: Write spelling words 4x each, math page circled (Big book)
Tuesday 12/9: Put the spelling words in the right category (ai_, _ay, ea, _eigh, _ey, a_e) & write 2x each, math sheet
Wednesday 12/10: Write 4 sentences with 1 vocabulary word in its’ own sentence(Try to add the HFW), study all words, math sheet
Thursday 12/11: Write 3 sentences using at least 5 of the spelling words, study all words, math pg. 55-56
Friday 12/12: *Spelling & Vocab. test, No homework!
HFW: good, often, strange
Vocabulary: across, borrow, countryside, idea
across- from one side to the other
borrow- to take and return later
countryside- the land outside of cities
ideas- thoughts
Reminder: For Friday’s Bambinelli Mass, please send in your baby Jesus from your nativity scene with your child for a blessing. This Thursday is a half day ending at 11:30 a.m. because of Parent-Teacher conferences.

For more practice, when the children complete all of their homework, they can:
-Complete iReady Reading and Math lessons at home
-Study their high-frequency, spelling, and vocabulary words
-Read a "Just Right Book" for 20 minutes or more and log it into their monthly reading log! (*Remember to look for the setting, main events, characters, and theme while reading to help them understand stories better!)
-Also, respond to the stories by answering this question on looseleaf, "What is the message(theme) of the story?". You can help the children focus on their handwriting and remind them to make 5 star-sentences! -
