Grade 7-1, Homeroom

It is with tremendous excitement, anticipation, and enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year at St. Martin of Tours School in Amityville, N.Y. It is certainly refreshing to enter this school year with very few restrictions, however our commitment to learning, health, well-being and student achievement continues to be steadfast.

This will be my fourth year at St. Martin of Tours School, as I had previously served as the general fifth grade teacher and as the E.L.A teacher for Grades 7 and 8. Prior to that, I had taught middle school social studies courses at St. Joseph School in Ronkonkoma for three years. 

I am looking forward to serving our students as they build the foundation of their education through faith, academics, and service. In collaboration with all stakeholders, we will ensure our students achieve excellence and success in and outside of the classroom.  Furthermore, I will also be working to hone and sharpen their skills of organization, time management, responsibility, and good study habits; which will only lead them to success in the future. There is much ahead for our students, I am confident they will meet these challenges with perseverance and determination.

It is my firm belief that students need to be supported through a partnership between home and school. Please be sure to visit this class website, the Google Classroom, and PowerSchool frequently, as each will be updated on a daily basis with important messages, grades, and assignments. As well, I will always be available through the main office telephone number and my school email address.

This school year, regardless of the challenges, is poised to be an exciting one with our students. Together we will ensure our students achieve excellence, build their faith and relationship with God, develop an excitement for learning, and a love for school. Let's do this!
