Happy Monday! This is the children’s first week of homework. The children will be bringing home a notebook that has been colored red on the binding. This is to help them stay organized and associate the color red with their ‘take home book.’ Children should write the date on top of their homework. They are to choose only ONE activity from the BINGO board. There are different options in order to challenge children if they wish. The children DO NOT have to include the high frequency words, but can if they would like to. Please email me if you have any questions. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! This week the children are completing their first grade diagnostic for I Ready. I have explained to the children that they should take their time and try their best. This will not be counted as a grade. It is a tool for us to see what was retained from kindergarten.
